Connect People is recruiting for two roles with our client’s road maintenance team out of their Rydalmere depot. We’re after experienced Road Maintenance Crew Members and Sweeper Operators who want steady, ongoing work keeping Sydney’s roads in top shape.

If you’ve got a background in road maintenance or civil works and hold a truck licence, this is a great chance to lock in consistent hours with a temp to perm pathway.

Roles available:

- Road Maintenance Worker
- Sweeper Operator

What’s on offer:

- Monday to Friday roster
- Depot based in Rydalmere
- Temp to perm pathway for the right people
- Road Maintenance Workers: $43.53 p/h + super (day shift) / $56.50 p/h + super (night shift)
- Sweeper Operators: $46.39 p/h + super (day shift) / $57.52 p/h + super (night shift)
- Steady work on essential road infrastructure across Sydney

Road Maintenance Worker - what you’ll be doing:

- Planned and reactive maintenance across the Sydney road network
- Pothole patching and asphalt repairs
- Installing and fixing road signs
- Vegetation and roadside upkeep
- Graffiti removal
- Small concrete jobs and general civil labouring
- Using vehicles, hand tools and equipment as needed
- Working safely in and around live traffic

Sweeper Operator - what you’ll be doing:

- Operating a road sweeper across the Sydney road network
- Clearing debris, spills and material from roads,



kerbs and worksites
- Supporting maintenance crews with clean-up before and after works
- Carrying out pre-start checks and basic upkeep on the sweeper
- Working safely in and around live traffic

What you’ll need:

- MR licence or higher for crew member, HR licence or higher for Sweeper Operator
- Experience in road maintenance, road construction or civil works
- Sweeper Operators: previous road sweeper experience
- Confidence working near live traffic and a strong safety mindset
- Happy working outdoors in all conditions
- Physically fit and ready for hands-on work
- Reliable and a positive team player
