Your new role
As a Lead Data Engineer, you will design, build and optimise scalable analytics solutions and data pipelines within a complex enterprise environment. Working closely with engineers, data scientists, architects and key stakeholders, you will contribute to the development of robust analytics capabilities and production-grade software solutions.
Key responsibilities include:

- Developing and maintaining high-quality, production-ready code and automated tests.
- Designing and optimising distributed data processing solutions using modern data engineering practices.
- Building and enhancing analytics platforms, data pipelines and analytical products.
- Supporting technical design reviews and engineering best practices.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deploy and integrate analytics solutions.
- Contributing to sprint planning, estimations and technical decision-making.
- Promoting a collaborative, delivery-focused team culture.





What you'll need to succeed

- Demonstrated experience delivering production-grade software and data engineering solutions.
- Strong programming skills in technologies such as Python, Scala, Java and SQL.
- Experience working with large and complex datasets using platforms such as Apache Spark.
- Strong understanding of software engineering principles, including testing, code reviews, version control and CI/CD practices.
- Experience developing data-driven or analytical solutions within enterprise environments.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills.
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
