Your new roleAs an IMS DB System Administrator, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, support, backup, recovery, and performance of IMS V15 environments. You will manage system upgrades, troubleshoot issues, administer databases, and contribute to research and evaluation of new IMS capabilities.

What you'll need to succeed

- Strong knowledge of RDBMS concepts.
- Experience with IMS software upgrades and IMS system definition (IMSGEN / SYSGEN).
- Expertise in system-level backup and recovery processes.
- Knowledge of IBM IMS utilities including backup, recovery, reorganisation, load, unload, and pointer checking.
- Experience with database creation, indexing, performance tuning, and security management.




- Understanding of incident, change, and problem management processes.
- Exposure to ITIL-based change, configuration, incident, and problem management practices will be highly regarded.
