An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Civil / Structural Site Construction Manager to join an international engineering and construction management business delivering large-scale, mission-critical data centre projects.
This role will take ownership of the civil and structural construction scope, coordinating contractors, consultants and project stakeholders to ensure major structural and site infrastructure packages are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.
Your recent roleAs Construction Manager – Civil / Structural, you will be responsible for the delivery of major civil and structural packages across the project, including:

- Managing civil and structural construction works across major data centre projects
- Overseeing earthworks, excavation, foundations, concrete structures, structural steel and associated external works
- Managing civil and structural contractors, specialist subcontractors, consultants and suppliers
- Coordinating structural works with architectural, mechanical, electrical and building services packages
- Managing programme, cost, quality and sequencing across the civil and structural works
- Driving construction safety and ensuring works are completed in accordance with project requirements
- Coordinating concrete pours, structural steel erection, foundations and major site works with the wider construction programme
- Reviewing method statements, ITPs, construction drawings, temporary works requirements and technical documentation
- Managing inspections, quality assurance, defect resolution and handover of completed civil and structural packages
- Identifying and resolving construction, coordination and sequencing issues throughout delivery




- Working closely with MEP teams to ensure penetrations, equipment bases, plant areas and structural interfaces are coordinated correctly
- Managing day-to-day site activities and ensuring contractors meet programme, safety and quality expectations

What you'll need to succeedYou will ideally bring:

- Significant site-based construction management experience across major civil, structural or commercial construction projects
- Strong knowledge of concrete structures, structural steel, foundations, earthworks and associated civil works
- Experience working within data centres, mission-critical infrastructure, large-scale commercial construction or similarly complex projects
- Strong contractor, subcontractor and stakeholder management capability
- Experience coordinating structural works within MEP-intensive construction environments
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, temporary works, QA and site delivery
- Experience managing inspections, ITPs, defects and completion of major structural packages
- A Civil or Structural Engineering qualification, construction management qualification or strong trade/site background with progression into construction management
- Strong project management, communication and leadership skills
