Pearl Recruitment has partnered with a well-established engineering consultancy servicing the mining and resources sector. Due to an increase in project workload, they are currently seeking experienced Electrical Designers to join their Perth CBD-based team on an initial 3-month casual contract.

These positions will support an exciting upcoming mineral processing project, offering the prospect to work alongside an experienced engineering team on major mining and mineral processing infrastructure.

The Role: Working within a multidisciplinary engineering team, you will be responsible for completing electrical design and drafting work to support the delivery of a major mineral processing project. Your responsibilities may include:

- Producing and reviewing electrical drawings, layouts and schematics for mining and mineral processing infrastructure.
- Completing electrical design work for crushing equipment, processing plants and associated infrastructure.
- Preparing electrical drawings, cable schedules, single-line diagrams and equipment layouts.
- Working closely with Electrical Engineers and Control Systems teams to coordinate designs.
- Interpreting engineering drawings, specifications and project requirements.
- Ensuring designs comply with relevant Australian Standards and project specifications.
- Liaising with engineers and project teams to resolve design issues.




- Assisting with design documentation, drawing reviews and project deadlines.

About You: To be considered, you will ideally possess:

- Previous experience as an Electrical Designer within mining, resources or engineering consultancy environments.
- Strong understanding of electrical design for mining and mineral processing projects.
- Proficiency using AutoCAD or similar electrical drafting software.
- Experience preparing electrical drawings, schematics and technical documentation.
- Ability to interpret electrical engineering drawings and project specifications.
- A sound understanding of relevant Australian Standards and electrical design practices.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work within a fast-paced engineering consultancy.
- For Senior and Lead-level candidates, previous experience reviewing designs, coordinating deliverables and providing technical guidance to other designers will be highly regarded.
