We are seeking a talented and experienced Head Chef to lead the kitchen team at Villa Firestone in Mannum, SA.

We are looking for a responsible and talented individual who enjoys creating fantastic food and working in a positive team environment. Villa Firestone is quickly becoming an iconic wedding destination venue offering premium accommodation and food and beverage services in the Murraylands region in the beautiful river town of Mannum.

Our restaurant and events venue was home to Mannums' original stonewalled bakery, and at the centre of our food story is our 150 year old wood fired Scotch Oven. Our food leans heavily into traditional Italian cuisine, while also bringing together the flavours from SE Asia. You will be working in our current kitchen fitted with the right tools to craft outstanding food in a clean and highly productive manner . Your cuisine will be served to our guests in our 100 seat restaurant and function venue, comprising our rustic stone walled Courtyard and Bakery Bar areas.

Our restaurant typically trades four nights per week, and occasional for special functions at other times. You'll have the opportunity to enjoy a more relaxed life style in our beautiful river side tourist town.

What you'll be doing

- Working with management to develop a al carte and function menus.

- Managing and training other kitchen team members

- Ordering and managing stock levels

- Preparing and cooking a variety of dishes according to our menu

- Ensuring consistent quality and presentation of all food items

- Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment

- Collaborating with the front-of-house team to deliver an exceptional dining experience





- Adhering to all food safety and hygiene regulations

What we're looking for

- Minimum 3 - 5 years' experience as a Chef

- The skills and ability to manage the kitchen operation on a day to day basis

- Strong cooking skills and knowledge of various cuisines and cooking techniques

- Ability to maintain a positive team attitude, and to lead by example

- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality

- Good communication and teamwork skills

- Food safety certification and relevant qualifications
