Canning Vale

About us

Djinda Produce is Western Australia’s only 100% Aboriginal-owned fresh produce supplier. With over 10 years in the market, we supply fresh fruit and vegetables to government, corporate, and retail customers across WA and are an approved supplier under the WA Government Common Use Arrangement (CUAGRO2019). We’re a close-knit, fast-moving team built on a robust track record of reliable, quality service.

About the role

This isn’t a front-office admin job. Your desk is in the warehouse, alongside the team picking, packing, and loading, and you’ll be in and out of the dispatch area and coolrooms through the day in PPE. It’s a Sunday to Thursday roster, 7:30am to 3:30pm, because fresh produce doesn’t take weekends off. If you want a quiet corporate office, this isn’t it — if you like admin work where you can watch the result leave on a truck, read on.

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, you’ll:

- Process customer orders as they come in by phone and email, and keep the Country and Local checklists current

- Build each day’s Transport Manifest and Top Up Sheet, and prepare consignment notes for Country orders

- Raise and issue invoices from completed pickslips so orders are ready for next-day dispatch

- Send the daily Top Ups List, and the next day’s Local Delivery List to our transport provider

- Process CHEP pallet transfers

- Record and reconcile inbound and outbound stock movements

- Run daily stocktakes and keep inventory records accurate, including consumables such as boxes, strapping, wrap, and PPE

- Support the Warehouse Manager with daily pre-start and weekly toolbox meeting preparation,

and keep the warehouse filing system in order

About you

- At least 2 years in a warehouse, logistics, or office administration role

- Fast, accurate data entry — this role runs to hard daily dispatch cut-offs, and a wrong quantity or a missed order shows up on a customer’s dock

- Experience keeping stock or inventory records, including regular stocktakes

- Confident on stock, order, or invoicing software, with solid Outlook, Excel, and Word skills

- Genuinely comfortable working in a warehouse — PPE, forklifts moving around you, coolrooms, and time on your feet

- Organised and methodical, and calm when a truck is waiting

- Available Sunday to Thursday, 7:30am to 3:30pm

- Experience in fresh produce, food distribution, or another fast-paced dispatch environment is a strong plus — as is experience with consignment notes and CHEP or Loscam pallet transfers

- A Certificate III in Business Administration is welcome, and we’ll support the right person to complete food safety training

- Right to work in Australia

What’s on offer

Permanent full-time work (38 hours per week) with a growing WA business, competitive pay, and full training in our systems and food safety procedures. Hours run Sunday to Thursday, approximately 7:30am to 3:30pm, so the paperwork stays ahead of each day’s dispatch runs. You’ll work in a small, close-knit warehouse team where everyone covers for each other. Based in Canning Vale.
