About Solidity

Solidity is an Australian manufacturer of true helical screw piles. Since 2016 we have designed, manufactured and installed screw pile foundations, with our own robotic manufacturing cell, in-house engineering and testing, and site installation teams. Our team of around 40 supplies projects across Australia, with a growing focus on battery storage, solar and transmission infrastructure.

In 2026, Solidity won the Renewable Energy Manufacturer category at the Australian Manufacturing Awards.

About the role

We're looking for an Engineering Manager or Senior Engineer to lead our internal engineering function. You'll own design and certification on every project, from first enquiry and tender through to as-built sign-off, across industries from transmission infrastructure to modular construction, and lead our engineering team.

You'll report to the Managing Director and work closely with our business development, projects delivery, manufacturing and quality teams. The level of appointment will depend on your experience.

What you'll do

- Manage engineering outcomes for projects across a range of industries, from transmission infrastructure to modular construction

- Own all design, testing and geotechnical engineering for Solidity's supply-only and supply-and-install projects

- Provide engineering support to Solidity Installation Partners nationally

- Design helical pile foundations to AS 2159 and project specifications, and certify the work of the engineering team

- Prepare and approve estimates, quotes and tenders with our National Business Development Manager

- Assess geotechnical data, specify site investigations and set design parameters

- Plan and oversee pile load testing, and review results against the design

- Deliver the engineering on each project, including drawings, manufacturing specifications, installation methodology, testing and set-out, and give site teams technical direction

- Use, champion and help develop the Solidity Engineering Toolkit, our in-house design software





- Maintain engineering procedures in our integrated management system with our Quality Manager

- Lead, develop and mentor the engineering team

What you'll bring

Essential

- A degree in civil, structural or geotechnical engineering

- 8+ years (Engineering Manager) or 5+ years (Senior Engineer) in foundation or geotechnical design, ideally deep foundations or piling

- CPEng, NER or RPEng, and registration as a professional engineer in Victoria, or eligibility to obtain it

- Willingness to register in other states as our work requires

- Experience preparing estimates and tenders

- Working knowledge of AS 2159

- A driver's licence, and willingness to travel interstate and work on site

Desirable

- Helical or screw pile design experience

- Foundation design for battery storage, solar or transmission projects

- Experience leading an engineering team

- Postgraduate study in geotechnical engineering
