6-12 months Contract | Hybrid | SydneyWe are seeking an experienced CICS Infrastructure Lead to manage and support enterprise mainframe CICS environments. The successful candidate will bring strong hands-on CICS systems programming expertise, along with experience in installation, upgrades, performance tuning, troubleshooting and production support.
Key Responsibilities

- Lead the administration, support and maintenance of IBM CICS Transaction Server environments.
- Perform CICS installation, configuration, upgrades, patching and version migrations.
- Manage CICS regions, resource definitions, system parameters and associated infrastructure components.
- Monitor and tune CICS performance, availability and capacity.
- Troubleshoot complex CICS incidents, abends and production issues.
- Support interfaces and integration across CICS, DB2, MQ, VSAM, RACF and z/OS environments.
- Lead technical troubleshooting and provide guidance to mainframe infrastructure teams.
- Manage changes, releases and implementation activities within controlled production environments.
- Develop and maintain operational procedures, technical documentation and automation where appropriate.
- Collaborate with application,



infrastructure and operations teams to ensure platform stability and availability.

Required Skills & Experience

- Solid hands-on experience with CICS infrastructure / CICS systems programming.
- Extensive knowledge of IBM CICS Transaction Server and z/OS.
- Experience with CICS region configuration, administration, monitoring and performance tuning.
- Good understanding of DB2, IBM MQ, VSAM, RACF and mainframe networking concepts.
- Strong production support and problem-management experience.
- Experience managing CICS upgrades, maintenance and migration activities.
- Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
- Previous experience in a Lead, Senior CICS Systems Programmer or Mainframe Infrastructure position.
- Strong stakeholder communication and technical leadership skills.
