About Us

We are an established Asian food distribution company supplying a growing group of over 30 restaurants across Australia. We are seeking a highly experienced, hands-on and self-motivated Warehouse Manager to take full responsibility for our warehouse operations in Woodend, Victoria.

The successful candidate must have strong operational experience, excellent inventory management skills and the ability to run the warehouse independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

- Take full ownership of daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing and dispatch.
- Establish, implement and maintain effective inventory management systems, procedures and stock control processes.
- Manage frozen, chilled and dry food products, including sauces, beverages and other Asian grocery products.
- Maintain accurate stock records, conduct regular stocktakes and minimise stock discrepancies and wastage.
- Implement FIFO/FEFO stock rotation and manage expiry dates.
- Coordinate incoming shipments, supplier deliveries and outgoing distribution.
- Oversee warehouse staff, productivity, workflow and daily task allocation.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, cold chain management and workplace safety requirements.
- Continuously improve warehouse efficiency, storage capacity and operational performance.
- Manage warehouse operations independently without requiring daily supervision from senior management.

Essential Requirements

- Asian Food Wholesale Experience – Previous working experience with an Asian food wholesale or distribution company is highly preferred.
- Asian Food Product Knowledge – Strong understanding of frozen foods, dry groceries, sauces, condiments,



beverages and related storage requirements.
- Large-Scale Warehouse Management – Proven experience managing a large food warehouse or distribution centre, including staff, stock movements and dispatch operations.
- China & Southeast Asian Supply Chain Knowledge – Familiarity with food products and supply chains from China, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Vietnam and other Southeast Asian countries.
- Inventory Systems & Stock Control – Demonstrated ability to establish, implement and improve inventory management systems, stocktaking processes and warehouse operating procedures.
- Independent Warehouse Leadership – Must be capable of managing the entire warehouse operation independently, making operational decisions, solving problems and delivering results without constant management supervision.

Additional Requirements

- Minimum 3–5 years of warehouse management or supervisory experience.
- Strong leadership, organisation and problem-solving skills.
- Experience using inventory or warehouse management software.
- Knowledge of HACCP, food safety and cold chain procedures.
- Forklift licence preferred.
- Good English communication skills; Mandarin or another Asian language would be an advantage.
- Reliable, responsible, proactive and results-oriented.
