Rose & Crown Hotel – Guildford, WA

The Rose & Crown Hotel, Western Australia's oldest operating hotel, is seeking an experienced and passionate Chef to join our professional kitchen team. Located in the heart of Guildford, we are an award-winning hospitality venue renowned for delivering exceptional dining experiences, quality modern Australian cuisine, woodfired pizzas, and outstanding customer service in a unique heritage setting.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated chef who enjoys working in a fast-paced kitchen and is committed to producing high-quality food while maintaining excellent food safety and hygiene standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare, cook and present high-quality meals in accordance with established recipes and menu specifications.
- Assist in planning and developing seasonal menus and daily specials.
- Monitor food quality, portion control and presentation to ensure consistency.
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety, hygiene and HACCP requirements.
- Supervise and support kitchen staff during service.
- Assist with stock ordering, stock rotation and inventory control.
- Minimise food wastage and maintain cost-effective kitchen operations.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe kitchen environment.




- Work collaboratively with the Head Chef and wider hospitality team to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Essential Requirements

- Diploma in Hospitality or equivalent qualification OR at least 3 (three) years of relevant full-time experience as a Chef
- Strong knowledge of modern Australian cuisine and commercial kitchen operations.
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy, high-volume kitchen environment.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Sound understanding of food safety and workplace health and safety requirements.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
