Mandarin-Speaking Community Support Worker – Berowra / Hornsby Company: OSAN Ability – Hornsby Location: Berowra, Hornsby & Upper North Shore, NSW Employment Type: Casual About the Role OSAN Ability Hornsby is seeking reliable, compassionate and Mandarin-speaking Community Support Workers to support elderly clients under the Support at Home program and NDIS participants. We currently have clients requiring support in Berowra, with immediate work opportunities available for suitable candidates. This is a community-based, mobile role involving visits to clients in their own homes and local communities. Key Responsibilities - Provide personal care and assistance with daily living activities. - Assist with light domestic duties, meal preparation and household tasks, including preparing Chinese meals when required. - Provide transport and social support, including shopping, medical appointments and community outings. - Offer companionship and communicate effectively with Mandarin-speaking clients. - Maintain accurate service records and report any concerns regarding client wellbeing. Essential Requirements - Fluent spoken Mandarin is mandatory. Applicants must be able to communicate confidently and independently with Mandarin-speaking clients. - Functional English communication skills for workplace documentation and communication with the team. - Valid Australian Driver's Licence and access to a reliable, appropriately insured vehicle.



- Current National Police Check and First Aid & CPR certificates, or willingness to obtain these before commencing work. - Valid working rights in Australia. Visa sponsorship is not available. - Reliable, compassionate and able to work independently in the community. Highly Regarded - Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing or Disability), or equivalent qualifications. - Previous experience in aged care, disability or community support. - Availability for shifts in Berowra and surrounding suburbs.
