Make a difference in the moments that matter

The best pharmacy assistants do more than process a sale. They notice when someone needs help, take the time to listen and make customers feel welcome, respected and cared for.

At Priceline Pharmacy Everton Park, we are looking for people who bring that approach to work every day. If you take pride in your customer service, enjoy sharing your product knowledge and want your work to make a meaningful difference to others, we would love to hear from you.

We are recruiting two experienced Pharmacy Assistants for full-time positions and one Pharmacy Assistant for a part-time position. Previous pharmacy assistant experience is essential for the full-time roles; pharmacy experience or strong, relevant customer-focused retail experience is valued for the part-time role.

About the role

Reporting directly to the Retail Manager, you will help deliver a welcoming, customer-focused pharmacy experience while supporting the day-to-day operation of the store. You will work alongside the retail and pharmacy team, combining attentive service with accurate transactions, strong store presentation and a willingness to help wherever needed.

This is an active, hands-on role for someone who enjoys being on the shop floor, approaching customers and building relationships. You will need to balance friendly, personal service with attention to detail and the practical tasks that keep a pharmacy running smoothly.

Pay and conditions

Payment will be in accordance with the Pharmacy Industry Award 2020 (MA000012), with Pharmacy Assistant Level 2 or Level 3 classification as appropriate to the successful applicant’s competencies and the duties required. Applicable award penalty rates, allowances and superannuation will also apply.1

Please include details of your pharmacy qualifications, relevant training and previous responsibilities so we can understand the skills you would bring to the role. Your award classification will be confirmed as part of the recruitment process.

What you will be doing

- Customer care: Welcome customers, listen carefully and ask thoughtful questions to understand what they are looking for.
- Product information: Help customers navigate our health, wellbeing and beauty ranges, providing information appropriate to your training and responsibilities.
- Safe referral:

Recognise the limits of your role and involve the pharmacist when a customer needs medicine advice, a health assessment or further support.
- Customer-focused sales: Recommend suitable products based on genuine needs, explaining options clearly rather than simply encouraging a purchase.
- Retail operations: Process purchases accurately, use point-of-sale systems and help customers understand Sister Club membership and benefits.
- Stock and presentation: Assist with replenishment, inventory accuracy, merchandising, promotional displays and maintaining a clean, organised shopping environment.
- Team contribution: Communicate clearly, share useful product knowledge, support colleagues and raise customer concerns constructively.
- Standards and procedures: Protect customer privacy and follow store procedures, relevant legislation and protected work practices.

What we are looking for

We are looking for people who combine practical experience with genuine care. You do not need to know every product, but you do need the judgement to ask for help, the initiative to keep learning and the reliability to follow through.

- Relevant experience: For the full-time roles, previous experience working as a pharmacy assistant is essential. Tell us which areas you have worked in and the responsibilities you have held.
- Genuine customer focus: You enjoy helping people and can adapt your communication to different customers, including those who may feel uncertain or need extra patience.
- Initiative: You notice customers waiting, shelves needing attention or colleagues needing support, and take appropriate action without waiting to be asked.
- Accuracy and organisation: You take care with transactions, product information and stock tasks, even when the store is busy.
- Teamwork and reliability: You communicate respectfully, take responsibility for your work and contribute positively to the team.
- Willingness to develop: You are open to feedback, interested in health and wellbeing,

and motivated to build your product knowledge.
- Qualifications: Certificate II, III or IV in Community Pharmacy is valued, or a willingness to undertake relevant training.

What making a difference looks like

Sometimes it is taking an extra moment to understand what a customer is really asking. Sometimes it is finding the right person to help, explaining the next step clearly or making sure someone does not leave feeling overlooked.

We value thoughtful service and sound judgement just as much as product knowledge. We want team members who understand that a positive pharmacy experience is built through everyday actions, not just a friendly greeting.

How to apply

Please apply through Indeed with your current CV and a short cover letter or supporting statement. Help us understand your experience rather than simply telling us that you are hardworking or passionate.

Please include:

- Your relevant experience: Where you have worked, the types of customers and product categories you have supported, and your main responsibilities.
- Your qualifications: Any pharmacy certificates, relevant training or product knowledge you would bring to the role.
- Your preferred position: Full-time, part-time or either.
- Your availability: The days and hours you can work, any regular availability restrictions and your earliest possible start date.

Please answer this question in 100–150 words

Tell us about a time you used your pharmacy or retail experience to make a meaningful difference to a customer. What did you notice, what did you do, and what was the outcome? How would you bring that same approach to Priceline Pharmacy Everton Park?

Please use a real example and explain your own contribution. It does not need to be a dramatic story; a thoughtful everyday interaction can show us a great deal about how you work. Do not include customer names or other identifying information.

We would love to hear from you if you can bring experience, initiative and genuine care to our customers and team. Apply through Indeed and tell us how you would make a difference at Priceline Pharmacy Everton Park.

Pay: $28.00 – $35.00 per hour
