Cooper McCullough Group (CMG) is an established civil construction business delivering bulk earthworks, infrastructure and mining-related projects across Central Queensland.

We are seeking Plant Operators for a range of positions, including single-machine operators, multi-skilled operators and final trim specialists.

Available opportunities

We are interested in hearing from operators with experience on any of the following:

- Excavators
- Dozers
- Graders
- Articulated dump trucks / Moxys
- Rollers
- Bulk water trucks

Positions vary across our projects, with opportunities suited to different machinery experience and skill levels.

What you’ll be doing

- Operating machinery safely and efficiently within your skills and authorisations
- Completing bulk earthworks, material placement, compaction and other civil works
- Carrying out final trim work where applicable to your role
- Conducting daily pre-start inspections and reporting defects
- Working with supervisors, surveyors and other operators to achieve project targets
- Following site safety procedures and company policies





What we’re looking for

- Relevant operating experience on one or more types of machinery
- Relevant plant qualifications, tickets and demonstrated competency
- Current driver’s licence
- Construction White Card
- COAL BOARD MEDICAL & St11 for Mining Roles
- A strong commitment to safety, reliability and teamwork
- Ability to meet project-specific medical and induction requirements

GPS machine control experience, final trim skills and current mining inductions are highly regarded, depending on the position.
