About the Role

Pacific Home Care Solutions is seeking a compassionate, reliable and experienced Female Disability Support Worker to provide ongoing one-on-one support to a female NDIS participant in Chigwell, Tasmania.

This position involves supporting a participant with complex psychosocial disabilities, including trauma-related conditions and behaviours of concern.

We are looking for someone who is calm, patient, emotionally resilient and confident in providing trauma-informed, person-centred support.

Consistency is essential, as the participant requires a regular support worker who can build trust and maintain a stable, supportive working relationship.

Key Responsibilities

* Assist with daily living activities and household routines

* Support community access, appointments and social participation

* Provide transport to appointments and community activities

* Establish a consistent and trusting professional relationship

* Use trauma-informed communication and de-escalation strategies

* Respond appropriately to behaviours of concern

* Promote independence, choice and control

* Maintain accurate progress notes and communicate with the support team

* Follow relevant risk assessments, support plans and organisational procedures

About You

The ideal candidate will have:





* Demonstrated experience supporting participants with complex psychosocial disabilities

* Strong understanding of trauma-informed care

* Experience supporting people with PTSD, dissociative conditions, autism or complex mental health needs

* Confidence in managing verbal aggression and responding safely to behaviours of concern

* Excellent communication, patience and emotional regulation skills

* A calm, non-judgemental and respectful approach

* Ability to maintain qualified boundaries and provide consistent support

* Availability for all three scheduled shifts each week

Essential Requirements

* Current NDIS Worker Screening Check

* Current National Police Check

* Working with Vulnerable People Registration (Tasmania)

* Valid driver’s licence and reliable, insured vehicle

* Current First Aid and CPR certificates, or willingness to obtain

* Right to work in Australia

Previous experience in mental health, psychosocial disability, behaviour support or community services will be highly regarded.
