Golden House Vietnamese & Chinese Restaurant, located in Springfield Lakes, is looking for a passionate, reliable and experienced Cook to join our team. If you enjoy cooking, take pride in preparing delicious food and work well in a fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you!

As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of Vietnamese and Chinese dishes, while maintaining high standards of food quality, taste, presentation and consistency. You will play an important role in ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen, maintaining food safety and hygiene standards, and delivering an enjoyable dining experience for our customers.

Prepare and cook a variety of Vietnamese and Chinese dishes

Maintain high standards of food quality, taste, presentation and consistency

Check ingredients for quality and freshness

Prepare food to meet special dietary requirements as required

Manage kitchen tasks efficiently during busy service periods

Maintain a clean, organised and hygienic kitchen at all times





Monitor food stock levels and assist with ordering ingredients and kitchen supplies

Adhere to all food health and safety regulations

Work collaboratively with the kitchen and front-of-house teams

Assist the chef with menu planning and development

Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent

At least 1 year experience working as a Cook in a busy commercial restaurant or a similar food service setting

Robust food preparation and cooking skills and techniques

Strong knowledge of Vietnamese and Chinese cuisine and ingredient

Experience with wok cooking and preparing Vietnamese and Chinese dishes

Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards

Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced commercial kitchen under pressure

Strong time management and organisational skills

Good communication skills and attention to details

Passion for delicious food

Ability to work on weekends

Pay: $80,000.00 per year
