Leading Hand Labourer – Carpentry / Commercial Fitout

Location: Chifley, Sydney NSW

Duration: Approximately 2 Weeks

Pay: $60 - $65/hr (Depending on experience)

About the Role

EIR Labour Hire is seeking an experienced Leading Hand Labourer with a carpentry background to assist on a commercial fitout project in Chifley, Sydney.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone with construction experience who can confidently support a Site Manager with daily site coordination while assisting with general labouring and installation duties.

With the project approaching completion, we're looking for someone reliable, proactive and organised who can help keep multiple work areas progressing and ensure outstanding tasks are completed on time.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist the Site Manager with daily site operations and coordination.
- Monitor daily job lists, outstanding tasks and project progress.
- Keep track of trades on site and ensure work is progressing as scheduled.
- Identify delays, defects or incomplete works and report back to the Site Manager.
- Assist with general carpentry, installations and hands-on labouring duties.
- Support final fitout works, including flooring, workstations and furniture installation.
- Assist with defect rectification, site presentation and final cleaning.




- Help maintain a protected, organised and productive worksite.

What We're Looking For

- Previous experience in carpentry, construction or commercial fitouts.
- Leading hand or supervisory experience highly regarded.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and monitor progress across multiple work areas.
- Confident communicating with trades and Site Managers.
- Comfortable assisting with hands-on labouring and installation work.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Reliable, proactive and able to work independently.
- Valid White Card.
- Own PPE, including steel-capped boots and hi-vis clothing.
