Position: Formwork, Steel Fixing and Concrete Worker

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Formwork, Steel Fixing and Concrete Worker to assist with construction projects, including formwork installation, steel reinforcement and concrete placement and finishing. The successful candidate must be physically fit, safety-conscious, able to work in a team and committed to maintaining high standards of workmanship.

Key Responsibilities

- Install, assemble and dismantle formwork for concrete structures.
- Read and interpret construction drawings, plans and specifications.
- Measure, cut, bend and fix steel reinforcement bars and mesh as required.
- Position and secure reinforcement steel in preparation for concrete pours.
- Assist with concrete pouring, spreading, levelling, vibrating and finishing.
- Operate hand tools, power tools and construction equipment safely.
- Prepare work areas and ensure materials and equipment are ready for scheduled tasks.
- Follow instructions from supervisors, site managers and leading hands.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe worksite.
- Comply with workplace health and safety requirements, site procedures and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
- Work efficiently to meet project deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
- Work collaboratively with other trades, subcontractors and site personnel.

Skills and Requirements

- Previous experience in formwork, steel fixing and concrete works is preferred.
- White Card and relevant construction site tickets, where required.




- Ability to follow instructions and work independently and/or as part of a team.
- Good physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Reliable, punctual and professional attitude.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and travel to construction sites as required

- Must be reliable, punctual and consistently attend work as rostered.
- Arrive on site on time and be ready to commence work at the scheduled start time.
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic, accountability and commitment to completing assigned tasks.
- Follow instructions from supervisors and ensure work is completed to the required standard and within agreed timeframes.
- Communicate promptly with management regarding absences, delays or any issues affecting attendance or work performance.
- Remain on site and continue working for the agreed hours unless authorised to leave by a supervisor.
- Take responsibility for assigned duties and ensure all work is completed properly before leaving the site.
- Maintain a skilled attitude, cooperate with team members and demonstrate respect towards supervisors, builders, clients and other workers.

Work Environment

The role involves working on active construction sites, performing manual labour outdoors and handling construction materials and equipment in accordance with workplace safety requirements.

Pay: $230.00 – $300.00 per day
