The Opportunity:

Join me in helping local high school students build their confidence, master the curriculum, and achieve their academic goals. I am looking for a dedicated English Tutor who is passionate about teaching and wants a rewarding role that fits flexibly around busy university schedules.

Why Consistency Matters:
Academic progress relies heavily on routine and trust. Because of this, I require a tutor who can commit to their assigned student for at least one full school semester (with the option to continue through school holidays if the family wishes). Ideally, I am looking for someone who can commit to a full academic year with their student.

This role is not suited for someone looking for short-term or ad-hoc work. I expect my tutors to view this as a serious professional commitment. To ensure student stability, dropping a student mid-term without an exceptional, unavoidable reason is a breach of our agreement.

What You Bring:

- Subject Expertise: A solid academic background in WACE English.




- Key Traits: A high level of empathy, patience, and excellent communication skills.
- Absolute Reliability: A proven track record of punctuality and dedication.
- Notice Period: The professional courtesy and ability to provide a minimum of 4 weeks' notice if an unavoidable life change occurs.
- Safety: A valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) is highly preferred.

Hours & Structure:

- Flexibility: Each tutor will be assigned students based on their own availability and client demand. Managing 2–4 students per week (approx. 3–4 hours per student) is ideal.
- Engagement: This is an independent contractor role (you will need an ABN, which is free and easy to set up).
- Pay: Invoices are processed and paid weekly.

Pay: $30.00 – $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 2.0 – 6.0 per week
