Position: Motor Mechanic

Salary: $85,000 per annum + Superannuation

Position Description

Midway Autoport is seeking a reliable and experienced Motor Mechanic to join our team on a full-time basis.

The successful applicant will be responsible for vehicle servicing, inspections, fault diagnosis and mechanical repairs, ensuring vehicles are secure, reliable and operating efficiently.

Qualifications & Experience

- AQF Certificate III with at least two years of on-the-job training, or an AQF Certificate IV or Diploma in Light Vehicle Mechanics
- Minimum one year of relevant work experience.
- Sound knowledge of vehicle servicing, mechanical repairs and fault diagnosis.
- Ability to operate diagnostic equipment and interpret technical repair information.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform routine servicing, maintenance and engine tuning.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment.
- Inspect, repair and replace faulty or worn vehicle components.




- Assess vehicles and identify repairs required to meet roadworthiness standards.
- Remove, inspect, repair and reassemble engines, transmissions, steering systems and other mechanical components.
- Follow manufacturer specifications, technical manuals and repair procedures.
- Test repaired components and vehicle systems to ensure safe and reliable operation.
- Assist with vehicle breakdowns when required.
- Issue roadworthiness certificates where appropriately authorised and qualified.
