We are seeking a reliable, safety-focused, and experienced Forklift Operator to join our fast-paced operations team at Brisbane Markets. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a dynamic warehouse and produce distribution environment where efficiency, accuracy, and customer service are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts to load, unload, move, and stack stock.
- Receive and dispatch fresh produce and other market goods.
- Perform stock movements within warehouses and storage areas.
- Complete daily pre-start equipment inspections.
- Accurately pick and prepare customer orders.
- Assist with inventory control and stock rotation.
- Maintain a clean and safe work setting.
- Comply with all workplace health and safety requirements.
Essential Requirements
- Current High Risk Work License (LF Forklift License).
- Previous forklift operating experience in a warehouse, logistics, or produce market workplace.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced setting while maintaining accuracy.
- Strong understanding of workplace health and safety practices.
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks.
- Reliable transport and ability to start early mornings if required.
- Strong communication skills and a positive team attitude.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Experience within fresh produce, food distribution, or wholesale markets.
- RF scanning and warehouse management system experience.
- Current driver's licence.
