The Role

Are you a Metallurgist or Process Engineer who enjoys getting beyond the theory and working hands-on with test work, process optimisation, equipment and customers?

Eriez is looking for a Process Engineer / Metallurgist to join our Flotation team and help deliver technical solutions to the mineral processing industry.

This is an opportunity to develop across the full technical and commercial lifecycle, from laboratory and pilot-scale flotation test work through to process design, equipment selection, commissioning, optimisation and customer support.

This role offers something broader than a traditional site or laboratory Metallurgist position. You will have the opportunity to combine metallurgy,



engineering, problem-solving and customer engagement, developing practical flotation solutions while building strong technical and commercial capability.

You will be responsible for:

- Delivering flotation test work across laboratory, pilot and industrial programs, including test planning, supervision, data analysis and technical reporting
- Developing practical process solutions using metallurgical principles, equipment sizing, process calculations and flotation technology selection
- Getting hands-on in the field, supporting commissioning, troubleshooting, process optimisation and technical assessments at customer operations
- Supporting real mining projects, preparing PFDs, P&IDs;, instrument lists, data sheets, technical proposals and equipment recommendations
- Working directly with customers, understanding their processing challenges and identifying opportunities to improve metallurgical performance
- Building your commercial experience, contributing to quotations, proposals, technical presentations and recent business opportunities

Requirements

You will bring:

- A degree in Metallurgy, Mineral Processing or Chemical Engineering
- Around 2+ years' mining industry experience as a Metallurgist
- Experience or practical knowledge of froth flotation and gold leaching processes
- Knowledge of laboratory sample preparation and metallurgical testing equipment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
- Confidence working with technical data and communicating your findings
- Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and ideally Visio and AutoCAD
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A valid driver's licence.
