Shutdown Coordinator

We are looking for a Shutdown Coordinator to join our KCGM Fimiston Operation.

Reporting to Shutdown Superintendent you will be coordinating the shutdown management process from establishment through to improvement directing day to day shutdown preparation and execution on behalf of the Shutdown Superintendent. You will be the shutdown matter expert on the NSR Shut Management Process and drive compliance to it across all disciplines. Shutdown success is delivering all required assets ready to achieve the next campaign safely meeting business demands.

What you can look forward to:

- Leading shutdown execution during our major planned outages, keeping the schedule on track and handing the plant back on time, safely and within budget.
- Owning the shutdown readiness process, including managing risk, hitting readiness milestones and working closely with the shutdown planners and scheduler.
- Being part of a close, proactive shutdown team that drives high standards and expectations.
- Regular exposure to Superintendent level leadership to further your own development.
- A consistent dayshift roster during normal operation, with a back-to-back partner.

Where you’ll add value:

- Five or more years in mining, with hands-on experience leading large shutdowns or turnarounds.
- A robust understanding of shutdown management, readiness gates and scheduling tools such as Primavera or MS Project.




- Confidence using Pronto Xi and Microsoft Office to plan, track and report shutdown work.
- A working knowledge of the Work Health and Safety Act 2020 and Work Health and Safety (Mines) Regulations 2022.

Qualifications:

- Trade qualification, tertiary qualification or an engineering degree in a relevant discipline.
- Current C class Western Australian Drivers Licence.
- Statutory Supervisor (S26)

Desired Qualifications:

- Frontline management qualification (Certificate IV in Business or equivalent) or the ability to obtain it.
