Bestec Service Pty Ltd is an established domestic appliance repair and service business in Perth. We’re seeking an experienced Appliance Service Technician to join our team.

This is a field-based role. You’ll travel to customer premises across the Perth metropolitan area to diagnose, repair and service domestic appliances.

Key responsibilities

- Examine and test electronic equipment and assemblies in domestic appliances to identify faults, determine their causes and select appropriate repair methods.
- Interpret electronic circuit diagrams, manufacturer technical manuals, service specifications and diagnostic fault codes.
- Use electronic diagnostic equipment and test instruments to locate faults in printed circuit boards, electronic modules, sensors and display panels.
- Inspect electronic assemblies for damaged components, faulty connections and malfunctioning modules.
- Repair or replace electronic components, circuit board assemblies, sensors, display modules and connectors in line with manufacturer specifications.
- Fit and configure replacement electronic modules, including setup, programming and parameter adjustments where required.
- Reassemble appliances and complete diagnostic and functional test cycles to confirm correct operation.
- Service and maintain electronic assemblies to support reliable performance and help prevent recurring faults.
- Explain findings and repair options to customers and advise them on appliance operation and care.
- Follow manufacturer handling instructions,



electrostatic discharge precautions and workplace safety procedures.

Skills and experience

- At least two years demonstrated experience servicing and maintaining domestic appliances, including ovens, cooktops, rangehoods, dishwashers, washing machines and clothes dryers.
- Strong appliance fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Competent in using electronic test instruments and following systematic fault-finding procedures.
- Experience replacing and configuring electronic assemblies and testing appliances after repairs.
- Able to work well in a team and use initiative when working independently.
- Customer-focused, with solid written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to learn about other trades and areas of the business.
- Field experience and knowledge of Perth metropolitan roads.
- Current driver’s licence.
