Plant Operator - Casterton (Full Time X 2)Council is seeking two full-time Plant Operators with demonstrated ability to operate a variety of medium and heavy mechanical plant.These positions are based out of Council’s Casterton depot and offers a 9-day fortnight which provides a great work-life balance while contributing to essential community services.As part of the Works team, the Plant Operator is responsible for undertaking a range of civil construction and infrastructure maintenance works across the Shire. The role is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a range of plant to undertake tasks associated with the construction and maintenance of roads, drainage, paths, bridges,



street furniture and general maintenance.For further information on the position please refer to the Position Description.What you need to SucceedA positive ‘can do’ attitude.Current Victorian Drivers Licence is essential.Heavy Combination Licence is essential.Relevant Plant and Equipment tickets and licences.Basic computer skills.General knowledge and understanding of road construction and maintenance techniques.Demonstrated experience in safe and effective operation of construction plant and specialist equipment.Demonstrated ability to work within a team environment and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Willingness and physical capacity to carry out key duties of the position including manual labour.Clear verbal and written communication skills with the capacity to learn new techniques and work practices. #J-18808-Ljbffr
