Bayswater, WA | $55/hr + Penalties | Ongoing Workshop Work | Immediate Start

CrewSELECT is currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join a busy engineering workshop based in Bayswater.

This is an urgent requirement offering $55 per hour plus penalties, with plenty of hours available. The role will focus primarily on pulley bearing assembly and conveyor components, making it well suited to a Mechanical Fitter with experience in pulley refurbishment, bearings, conveyors or similar mechanical equipment.

- 10-hour days available
- Alternatively, standard hours of approximately:
- Monday–Thursday: 6:30am–3:00pm
- Friday: 6:30am–1:00pm

- Bayswater workshop location
- Opportunity to work on conveyor and pulley equipment
- Immediate start available

About the Role

Working as part of the workshop team, your day-to-day duties will include:

- Cleaning and preparing pulleys
- Inspecting pulleys and components for wear or damage
- Stripping and dismantling pulleys
- Removing and fitting bearings and bearing housings




- Pulley bearing assembly and refurbishment
- Completing inspection reports and workshop documentation
- Basic assembly of conveyor components
- Assembling idler frames and impact beds
- Assembly of scrapers
- Using hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Maintaining a clean and safe workshop environment

What We’re Looking For

To be considered, you will ideally have:

- Mechanical Fitter trade qualification
- Previous mechanical fitting or workshop assembly experience
- Pulley bearing assembly experience IS A MUST
- Clean NPC within 12 months IS A MUST
- Experience with bearings, pulleys, conveyors or materials-handling equipment advantageous
- Ability to inspect, strip and rebuild mechanical components
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Ability to work safely and follow workshop procedures
- Reliable transport to the Bayswater workshop
