Job Description

Hungry Jack's Burgers Berwick Hungry Jack’s Berwick is seeking an experienced Retail Manager to organise and oversee the day-to-day operations of the restaurant. The successful applicant will manage service delivery, stock and purchasing, staff, budgets and compliance while supporting the outlet’s operational and sales objectives. Key responsibilities Plan and coordinate daily operations to maintain effective service across counter, takeaway and drive-through channels.

Determine product mix, stock levels and service standards to meet customer demand and business requirements. Monitor stock, place orders and coordinate purchasing to maintain appropriate inventory levels and minimise waste. Implement pricing, promotional and marketing activities in line with business policies.

Promote the restaurant’s products and services and help ensure customers receive accurate information and a high standard of service. Maintain records of stock movements, sales, expenditure and other financial transactions. Prepare and monitor budgets, review operating costs and report on the outlet’s financial performance.

Recruit, train, roster and supervise staff, and provide guidance on service expectations and work procedures. Monitor customer feedback and operational performance, and address service or workflow issues.



Ensure the workplace complies with occupational health and safety requirements and applicable food safety and hygiene procedures.

Selection criteria A relevant Diploma or higher qualification in business, retail management, hospitality management or a related field; or at least three years of relevant experience in retail, fast-food or comparable operations management in place of the formal qualification. Demonstrated experience coordinating a customer-facing outlet, including staff supervision, stock control and daily operations. Experience with purchasing, budgeting, sales or financial record keeping.

Strong leadership, organisation, communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain service standards during busy periods. Knowledge of workplace health and safety and food safety practices, or the ability to apply these requirements in the role.
