Job Description

PG&S; TRANSPORT The Logistics Analyst will analyse how our linehaul and distribution network performs and turn operational data into practical recommendations. You'll look at freight volumes, transit times, fleet and trailer use, costs and service levels across our NSW, QLD and VIC corridors.

Then you'll work with the operations team to improve efficiency and reduce costs. You'll report to the Operations Manager and work closely with dispatch, fleet, compliance and customer service staff. Benefits Annual salary of AU$80,000 – AU$90,000 + Superannuation Task & responsibilities Collect, analyse and interpret freight, transport and delivery data to find trends, inefficiencies and opportunities to improve performance across the linehaul and distribution network Evaluate existing supply chain and logistics processes, from freight booking and consolidation through to linehaul, cross-dock and final delivery, and recommend improvements to workflows and resource use Analyse historical and forecast freight volumes to anticipate changes in demand, and recommend adjustments to linehaul schedules, fleet capacity and resourcing Monitor and report on key performance indicators, including on-time delivery, transit times, load utilisation, empty running, cost per kilometre and customer service levels Analyse transport costs, including fuel, tolls, subcontracted carriers and maintenance, to find cost-reduction opportunities and support pricing and budgeting decisions Evaluate the performance of subcontracted carriers and suppliers against agreed service levels and recommend improvements Develop route, load and scheduling optimisation strategies across the NSW, QLD and VIC corridors

Use operational data to support heavy vehicle compliance monitoring, including fatigue management, mass and load records,



and maintenance scheduling Prepare reports, dashboards and data-driven recommendations for the Operations Manager and senior management Help implement and review process changes and system improvements, and measure their results Qualification & experience Bachelor degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Engineering or a closely related field At least 1 year of experience in a supply chain, logistics, transport or distribution analyst role Robust analytical skills, with the ability to interpret large operational data sets and turn them into clear recommendations Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; experience with Power BI or similar reporting tools Experience with transport management systems (TMS), fleet telematics or freight management software Sound understanding of road freight, linehaul and distribution operations, including capacity planning and cost drivers Working knowledge of heavy vehicle compliance requirements (e.g. Heavy Vehicle National Law, Chain of Responsibility) is highly regarded
