About the role

Lead the day-to-day operations and continued development of a small retail business in the local community. This role combines retail sales, staff leadership, business improvement and team development, with the prospect to help move the business forward.

Key responsibilities

- Manage daily retail sales and business operations.

- Lead, support and motivate staff to achieve strong results.

- Identify opportunities to develop and grow the business within the local environment.

- Support self-learning and provide training to staff.

- Contribute ideas and practical initiatives that move the small business forward.

- Maintain knowledge of products, services and customer needs.

What we're looking for

- Experience in retail management.

- Strong knowledge of aquarium fish or a desire to learn alot about aquarium fish on the job and at home

- Small business management skills and a practical approach to business development.

- Strong leadership and people management capabilities.

- A commitment to ongoing learning and staff training.

- Knowledge of aquarium fish is desirable, where possible.

- The ability to contribute positively to a local retail business and help achieve better results.
