About the role – Armed and Unarmed Security Personnel

SSX Group is expanding our specialist team and requires highly professional Armed Security and Unarmed Officers for a premium educational campus in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs. We are looking for vigilant, reliable, and well-presented individuals to ensure the safety of students, staff, and visitors.

Key responsibilities

- Conduct high-visibility static guarding and active roving patrols across the campus in three different locations.

- Respond rapidly and professionally to security incidents or breaches.

- Ensure strict access control and monitor CCTV and alarm systems.

- Maintain detailed incident reports and adhere strictly to site Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

- Participate in ongoing training and site-specific competency assessments.

Key Requirements

1. Hold a Current Class 1A: Security Officer (unarmed security and crowd control) and Class 1F: Armed Guard (authorised armed security duties).

2. Hold a current Category H Firearms Licence and Security Guard accreditation. Applicants who hold a current Class 1A/F Security Licence but do not yet possess a Category H Firearms Licence are also encouraged to apply. For suitable candidates, we are prepared to consider providing support and training towards obtaining a Provisional Category H Firearms Licence, subject to eligibility and applicable conditions.

3. Hold a current driver's licence

4. Hold a current Senior First Aid certificate

5. Possess a high level of integrity and work ethic

6. Have a strong commitment to client and customer service

7. Be able to work in a fast-paced environment

8. Be extremely well-presented, enthusiastic, and diligent

9. Must have excellent written and verbal skills with extremely good attention to detail

Must be flexible to work across our three locations: Queens Park, Dover Heights, and Bondi.

Positions - ASAP, starting pending the vetting process. We currently have availability for a variety of roles needing filling.

- 7 × Armed Security Personnel Full-Time, Part-Time, and Casual roles

- Full-time / Part-time / Casual positions Monday to Friday

- Primary Hours: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM

- Must be flexible and available to work across a 24/7 roster when operationally required

- Additional overtime opportunities are available during weekdays and on weekends.

- 5 × Unarmed Security Officers – Casual / Part time – These positions may offer the opportunity to transition into permanent full-time employment, subject to the successful completion of the required probationary period, satisfactory performance assessments, and ongoing operational requirements.

- Casual/part-time positions Monday to Friday

- Primary Hours: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM

- Must be flexible and available to work across a 24/7 roster when operationally required

- Applicants who currently hold a Category 1A and F Security Licence but do not hold a Category H Firearms Licence are encouraged to apply. We are willing to provide training and support to suitable applicants to assist them in obtaining their Provisional Category H Firearms Licence, subject to eligibility requirements and applicable conditions.

- Additional overtime opportunities are available during weekdays and on weekends.

- 1 × Night Security Guard House – Casual / Part-Time

- 3 nights per week: Monday, Tuesday and Thursday

- Primary Hours: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
