The Prospect
An opportunity exists for an experienced HSEQ (Safety and Quality) Project Manager to lead safety, quality and environmental performance across a major greenfield commercial construction project in the Newcastle region.
This is a large, technically complex build with a substantial electrical construction and fit out component and a significant workforce expected on site through peak construction.
Sitting as part of the Project Senior Management Team, this is much more than a traditional site safety role. You will lead HSEQ across the project, providing direction across safety, quality, assurance, contractor management and operational risk from mobilisation through construction, fit out and commissioning.

The Role
Leading a dedicated project Safety and Quality team, your responsibilities will include:

- Leading HSEQ performance across the project
- Providing visible leadership across a large construction workforce
- Leading and developing project safety and quality resources
- Driving risk management, assurance and governance
- Partnering with project leaders and contractors to improve WHSEQ performance




- Providing oversight of quality processes across complex electrical construction and fit out
- Supporting HSEQ systems, processes and continuous improvement
- Contributing as a key member of the senior project leadership team

About You
We are looking for an established HSEQ professional with experience across major construction, electrical, engineering or infrastructure projects.
You will ideally bring:

- Strong project based safety leadership experience
- Exposure to electrical construction, fit out or complex building services
- Experience within large greenfield construction environments
- Genuine Quality and assurance capability
- Experience leading HSEQ or project safety teams
- Strong contractor and stakeholder management capability
- The credibility to influence senior project and operational leaders

Electrical construction experience would be highly regarded, particularly across large commercial builds, complex electrical installations or highly serviced facilities.
