About the role

We are seeking a Cert III or Diploma Educator to join our team at Paratea Preschool in Frankston South, VIC 3199. This is a 12 month fixed term position that offers an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact in early childhood education, there is potential for ongoing work for the right candidate. You will be employed under the VECTEA award which includes paid school holidays, Paratea Preschool operates during the school terms and is closed during school holidays. As an educator you will be responsible for creating stimulating learning environments, supporting children's development and wellbeing and working collaboratively with families and colleagues to provide high quality care and education. This role is fundamental to our mission of delivering outstanding early childhood experiences that prepare children for lifelong learning.

Key responsibilities

- Supervise and care for children in line with early childhood education and care standards, ensuring a protected and supportive environment

- Plan, implement and evaluate engaging learning activities that support children's cognitive, physical, social and emotional development

- Build positive relationships with children and foster their confidence, curiosity and independence

- Communicate regularly with families about children's progress, development and wellbeing

- Maintain accurate records and documentation of children's learning and development milestones

- Support children's health and hygiene needs, including meal times and toileting routines





- Collaborate with the preschool team to ensure consistent practices and a cohesive learning environment

- Comply with all relevant early childhood education regulations, policies and procedures

- Contribute to the maintenance and organisation of a clean, safe and welcoming preschool environment

What we're looking for

- A qualification in Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent recognised qualification)

- Demonstrated experience working with young children in an early childhood education and care setting

- Current and Valid Working with Children Check

- Strong understanding of child development and age appropriate learning practices

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with children and families

- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team in a busy preschool environment

- A genuine passion for supporting children's growth, learning and wellbeing

- Commitment to maintaining high standards of health, safety and hygiene

- Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic early childhood education setting
