Bluegrass BBQ is looking for an enthusiastic and driven Chef to join our kitchen team at Victoria Point, with the opportunity to develop into a Sous Chef role.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

Working alongside our kitchen leadership team, you'll play an important role in delivering the food and experience our guests know and love.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Preparing and cooking menu items to Bluegrass BBQ standards.

- Work alongside and support our Head Chef.

- Maintaining exceptional food quality, consistency and presentation.

- Taking ownership of your section and ensuring service runs smoothly.

- Assisting with food preparation, stock control, ordering and kitchen operations.

- Maintaining excellent food safety, cleanliness and kitchen organisation.

- Supporting and encouraging fellow team members.

- Contributing ideas and helping us continually improve our food and systems.

- Taking an active interest in the overall performance of the kitchen.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We're not necessarily looking for someone who knows everything. We're looking for someone with the right attitude, work ethic and ambition.

Ideally, you'll have:

- Previous experience working as a Chef in a professional kitchen.

- A genuine passion for food and producing consistently great dishes.





- The ability to work confidently in a busy, high-volume environment.

- Strong organisational skills and an eye for detail.

- A positive attitude and the ability to bring out the best in others.

- Initiative, accountability and a willingness to take ownership.

- A desire to develop your leadership skills and progress your career.

- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends.

- Relevant food safety qualifications, or a willingness to obtain them.

Leadership experience would be an advantage, but we're equally interested in an ambitious chef who's ready to take that next step.
