About the role

We are seeking capable kitchen professionals for multiple roles in a busy cafe and takeaway environment. You will prepare and deliver consistent, quality food at pace while maintaining a clean, organised and efficient kitchen. This role is central to creating a positive customer experience through food and service standards you can be proud of.

Positions Available:

CDP - Daytime - Mid week service and prep chef

Sous Chef - Evening - Burgers by Daisies

CDP x 2 - Evening - Burgers by Daisies

Kitchen Hand - Evening - Burgers by Daisies

Key responsibilities

- Prepare a broad range of cafe and takeaway food, including eggs to order, brunch, salads, sandwiches, baked goods, lunch specials and burgers.

- Operate a busy deep fryer and complete burger cooking and assembly to a consistent standard.

- Plate dishes quickly and accurately during peak weekend and summer trade.

- Maintain solid knife skills, effective preparation plans and thorough mise en place to support smooth service.

- Manage stock control, product rotation and waste to support efficient kitchen operations.





- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, labelling, temperature control and safe food storage.

- Handle allergen and dietary requirements, including gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian and vegan options.

- Communicate clearly with front-of-house staff to keep ticket times tight and support positive team morale.

- Train, support and motivate junior chefs and kitchen hands.

What we're looking for

- Experience preparing a broad range of cafe, takeaway or similar commercial kitchen food.

- Confidence working efficiently and consistently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

- Sound knife skills and a strong understanding of preparation, mise en place and service flow.

- Knowledge of food safety, allergen management, temperature control, labelling and safe storage.

- A calm, positive approach under pressure.

- Strong communication and teamwork skills.

- Reliability, punctuality and a strong work ethic.

- A genuine passion for delivering quality food and a positive customer experience.
