Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Apprentice Hairdresser role based at Hair Flair Boutique in Queanbeyan, NSW. The apprentice will support senior stylists with day-to-day salon operations, including preparing workstations, washing hair, and assisting with basic cutting, styling, and blow-drying under supervision. Daily tasks include learning and practicing hairdressing techniques, maintaining salon cleanliness, managing appointments, and providing friendly customer service to clients.



The role involves following health and safety standards, using salon products correctly, and participating in training sessions to progress skills and knowledge. The apprentice will gradually take on more responsibility as skills develop, while contributing to a positive, professional salon atmosphere.
Qualifications
Foundational skills or strong interest in Hair Styling and Hair Cutting, with willingness to learn and practice under guidance.
Basic understanding of Hair Care and Cosmetology principles, or readiness to undertake formal training or certification.
Customer Service skills, including explicit communication, a polite manner, and the ability to ensure a comfortable client experience.
Ability to follow instructions, work well in a team, and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
Reliability, punctuality, and a genuine passion for building a career in hairdressing.
Completion of or enrollment in a relevant vocational hairdressing or beauty course is an advantage but not mandatory.
