Our client is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Yard Hand / Forklift Operator to join their Burton team. This ongoing prospect offers full time hours, competitive pay, and the potential for long-term employment. You'll play a key role in yard operations, including forklift operation, container preparation, maintenance, and general site duties in a hands-on outdoor environment.

Monday-Friday 8am-4pm

Responsibilities
Operating forklifts to move and position shipping containers and equipment
Washing and cleaning containers to company standards
General yard maintenance and housekeeping
Assisting with container inspections and preparation




Loading and unloading materials
Following all site safety procedures and safe work practices
Supporting the wider yard team with daily operational tasks

Your Profile
Current Forklift Licence (LF) required
Experience operating Tyne forklifts is preferred, however training can be provided for the right person
Basic understanding of hand and power tools
Previous handyman, yard, warehouse, logistics or container industry experience
Physically fit and comfortable working in an outdoor environment
Robust commitment to workplace safety
Reliable, punctual and able to work independently and within a team
