A trusted non-bank lender is seeking a Mortgage Credit Analyst due to robust organic growth. This non-bank lender is known for their competitive edge in the market. A great prospect for an experienced credit analyst or underwriter to join a growing team and elevate their skillset within specialist lending.

About the role:

Assess a variety of home loan applications predominantly via broker channels through to approval

Analyse borrower financials including income, expenses, assets and liabilities

Develop an understanding of credit risk, policy intent, and risk appetite, and how these apply to individual loan scenarios

Identify key risks and mitigating factors, escalating and recommending outcomes where appropriate

Prepare transparent, well-reasoned credit assessments and recommendations

Work closely with brokers, BDMs, and internal stakeholders to support quality lending outcomes





Build knowledge of regulatory requirements and market trends, contributing to continuous improvement of credit processes

What we’re looking for:

Experience as a mortgage credit assessor, analyst or underwriter within a non-bank is preferred

Experience with more complex mortgage structures, such as self-employed, low doc, alt doc and trusts

Clear written and verbal communication skills

A degree in finance, accounting, economics or a related field is desirable but not essential
