There is an exciting prospect with the Bay of Isles Leisure Centre for a Team Leader Health & Fitness. This position will coordinate and support the effective day-to-day operation of Health and Fitness at the Bay of Isles Leisure Centre, providing leadership to staff, developing engaging programs and promoting a positive and inclusive workplace that encourages community participation and member engagement.

This is a split level role, responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Ensure Health and Fitness operations at the Bay of Isles Leisure Centre comply with relevant AUSactive standards, the Fitness Industry Code of Practice and applicable organisational policies and procedures.
Develop and coordinate an engaging and diverse timetable of Health and Fitness classes.
Ensure Health and Fitness staff hold appropriate qualifications and competencies.
Coordinate and conduct Health and Fitness appraisals, ensuring assessments meet relevant industry standards.
Assist the Supervisor Recreation Programs with the recruitment,



training and development of the Health and Fitness team.
Coordinate day-to-day Health and Fitness operations.
Provide guidance and support to Health and Fitness staff.
Maintain and review statistics on class attendance and participation, providing feedback and recommendations to the Supervisor Recreation Programs.
Work with the Supervisor Recreation Programs to identify, develop and implement special events, programs and initiatives.
Ensure all gym equipment, machines and class resources are available, maintained and kept in valuable working order.
Promote and monitor member engagement and participation.
Support and implement management policies in line with the Shire's vision, mission and goals, and comply with Council's Code of Conduct.
Undertake any other duties as required.

This is a part time position, working 20 hours per week.
