Casual Assistant Chef – Kals Café, Wolli Creek

We're looking for an experienced Assistant Chef to join our well-established kitchen team at Kals Café in Wolli Creek. This position is available to start immediately.

About the role:

You'll support our Head Chef in the day-to-day running of a busy kitchen with an established menu. Shifts are Friday, Saturday and Sunday, with the possibility of additional days for the right person.

Responsibilities:
Prepare, cook and plate dishes from our established menu to a consistent high standard
Support the Head Chef with kitchen operations and service
Complete food prep, stock rotation and kitchen opening/closing tasks
Maintain food safety, hygiene and cleanliness standards at all times
Work closely with the kitchen and front-of-house team during busy service

Requirements:
Minimum 4 years' experience as a cook or chef in a commercial kitchen
Proven experience working in a team workplace
Available every Friday,



Saturday and Sunday (additional days possible)
Able to start immediately
Reliable, punctual and able to work well under pressure
Food safety knowledge; current Food Handler certificate preferred
Full working rights in Australia

What we offer:
AU$35–$40 per hour (casual)
