We're looking for experienced female (as per request of the client) support workers to join the care team for a woman living in Ringwood with Huntington's disease.

The roster is small and steady to begin with: two hours each morning on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. Shifts can run either 7:30am to 9:30am or 8:00am to 10:00am, so there's some flexibility depending on what suits you. There is real scope for hours to grow over time as rapport is built.

The role involves prompting and supervising personal care, no showering, but aiding the use of a shower chair, along with some household tasks around the home. There is no community access work at this stage - the focus is the morning routine and helping the day start well.

Because of the personal care involved, this role is for female workers only.

To be considered you will need:
An active ABN (this is a contractor role)
NDIS Worker Screening Check
Working with Children Check
Current First Aid and CPR
At least two years of paid support work experience,



including manual handling and prompting
A current driver's licence and the ability to drive

We're after people who are reliable, calm and respectful, who turn up when they say they will, and who understand how much consistency matters in someone's morning routine. Experience with Huntington's or other progressive neurological conditions is a bonus, not a requirement; solid personal care experience and the right attitude matter more.
