Pancakes On The Rocks Northmead are looking for experienced chefs to join our dynamic and busy kitchen team. There is room for rapid advancement within the company for the right candidate who demonstrates an exceptional eye for hospitality.

Responsibilities and Duties include:
Planning menus, estimating food and labour costs, monitoring food inventory and ordering food supplies.
Inspecting food supplies to ensure quality and freshness.
Preparing food and menu items according to established standards.
Advising chefs and cooks on portion sizes and serving quantities.
Monitoring the quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation.
Discussing food preparation issues with managers, kitchen and waiting staff.
Demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures.
Preparing and cooking food.
Explaining and enforcing hygiene regulations.
Freezing and preserving foods.
Coordinating equipment purchases and repairs to maintain a fully functional kitchen.




Organising staff rosters based on operational requirements and staff availability.
Selecting and training staff.
Collaborating with management to discuss operational challenges and future plans.
Following all company policies and standards, including Work Health and Safety requirements.

Successful applicants will have the following skills/attributes:

· Trade Qualified Chef with a minimum of 1 year's work experience

· Excellent communication skills

· The ability to work under pressure in a calm skilled manner

· Be service orientated and have exceptional organisational skills

· Have a keen eye for detail and accuracy

· Highly driven, pro-active and hands on

· The role requires you to work a variety of shifts as we have a 7 day rotating roster, including weekends and evenings.
