We have a lovely little centre with just 44 children and a team of 10 educators. We are Montessori and Accelerated Learning based and have children from 20 months through to the end of their kindy year. Please read below and only apply if you have these abilities. If you can let me know what instrument you play that would be outstanding.

I need someone who can play guitar/ violin/ piano, basic level is fine, you may have learnt as a child, but you have the confidence to play basic nursery rhymes with the class for singing time every day and you will improve as you do so through that practice. Confidence is key, even if you can't do complex chords, being able to play a little melody on the keyboard would be sufficient.

I need someone who can do any shifts between 7am and 6pm, mostly I need someone who can do the later shift of the day. If you can't do the closing shift it won't work for us. I am adaptable on how many days per week if you are studying or need to work 3 or 4 days a week instead of the full 5.

I need someone who can speak English clearly and with confidence.

I need someone who can be active,

who can be on their feet a lot and move around, ideally someone who likes sport or dance and can do basic activities with the children outside etc.

I need someone who can happily help out in whatever aspects of the classroom that is required. Someone who can be scanning for where there is a child needing them or needing to be engaged and jumping right into helping them. From the ECT to cert three we all help with changing nappies, cleaning, organising, group sessions etc. so if you are going to be upset to be asked to do any of those things, then it won't be a valuable fit.

I don't mind if you have a cert three, diploma or ECT qualification, as long as you have one of them. You will be paid your award plus the 15% bonus and will be paid above award once you can demonstrate to me that you are an asset to the classroom and can do music & physical activities as well as show your skills in normal classroom duties.

Pay: $28.79 – $55.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24.0 – 37.0 per week

Work Location: In person
