Defence Coating Systems (DCS) is a South Australian business established in 1996, with a strong reputation for quality, service and reliability. We specialise in protective coatings, abrasive blasting, chemical pre-treatment and powder coating, supporting customers across the Defence and industrial sectors. Since joining the Rowlands Group in 2021, DCS has expanded its capabilities to offer broader manufacturing and turnkey solutions, including metal fabrication.

As our business continues to grow, we are seeking motivated Production Operators who enjoy hands-on work, value quality and want to be part of an established Australian manufacturing team.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Preparing components and surfaces for coating, including cleaning, masking and general surface preparation.
Assisting with abrasive blasting, chemical pre-treatment, powder coating and protective coating processes.
Loading, unloading, hanging and handling parts throughout the production process.
Ensuring safety and cleanliness standards are followed throughout the production process.
Following all workplace health, safety and environmental requirements.
Inspecting finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and job specifications.




Following work instructions, production schedules and quality procedures.
Documenting production data and maintaining accurate records for tracking and reporting purposes.
Working collaboratively with team members to meet production targets and customer requirements.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or production setting.
At least AQF Certificate II qualification in Manufacturing, Production Machinery or a related field.
Basic knowledge of surface treatment and industrial coatings.
Ability to interpret coating systems and technical drawings.
Valuable attention to detail and a strong focus on product quality and consistency.
Ability to work effectively in a team setting and follow instructions carefully.
A reliable, practical and positive approach to work.
Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with a team.
Ability to follow production procedures, technical instructions and safety requirements accurately.

Pay: $72,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
