About us

Vertex runs the on-site management rights for The Lanes, a residential community of East and West buildings. We manage the buildings and also look after a growing rental portfolio of apartments for owners and tenants. We’re a small, owner-operated business, so you’ll work directly with the owners and see how the whole operation runs.

The role

This is a junior role that covers two areas: assisting with leasing and helping with building management. It suits someone with 6–12 months of experience in real estate, property management or building management who wants to build a long-term career in property.

You’ll get hands-on experience on both sides of the business and a explicit pathway to grow into either a Building Manager or a Property Manager, depending on the direction you want to take.

What you’ll be doing

Leasing
Answering rental enquiries and running open homes and private viewings
Processing tenancy applications, including reference checks and owner approvals
Preparing lease agreements and bond lodgements
Completing entry, routine and exit condition reports
Advertising vacant properties, including photos, listing copy and portal uploads
Keeping records up to date in our property management software (Reapit PM)





Building management
Helping residents with day-to-day enquiries such as keys, fobs, remotes, lift bookings and parking
Booking and following up contractors for maintenance and repairs
Carrying out regular site checks and reporting issues
Supporting the building manager with resident notices, record keeping and admin

What we’re looking for
6–12 months of experience in real estate, property management, building management or strata
Transparent, friendly written and verbal communication
Strong organisation skills and attention to detail
A proactive, can-do attitude and the ability to manage your own workload
Comfort dealing with residents, owners and contractors
A current driver’s licence
A real estate licence is not required
Experience with Reapit PM / Console Cloud is a bonus but not essential
