About the Role:

McNeall Plastics is seeking an experienced Plastics Technician to join our team in Unanderra, NSW on a full time, ongoing basis.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Operate and monitor cast nylon equipment, including start-up, shut-down, and in-process control of casting and polymerisation plant.
Prepare and mix raw materials (caprolactam, catalysts, activators, additives) and charge them to the process.
Control temperature, vacuum, and reaction parameters through the polymerisation cycle, and record process conditions.
Carry out moulding and polymerisation, including mould preparation and tooling set-up.
Inspect finished castings and run quality checks (dimensions,



hardness, appearance, colour, voids).
Troubleshoot faults when castings or readings fall outside standard, and adjust the process or arrange repair.
Cut, machine, and finish cast nylon to drawing.
Keep production records, coordinate the casting line, and recommend changes that improve yield or consistency.

Requirements & Qualifications:
Minimum Cert III / Trade Qualification in Polymer Processing (or equivalent) OR at least 3 years of relevant qualified experience as a Plastics Technician.
Demonstrated practical knowledge of polymer production, machine operation, and quality inspection.

Pay: From $79,500.00 per year
