Civil Engineering Technician | Site Based

Glenview Construction is seeking a Civil Engineering Technician to support the day-to-day delivery of civil construction and maintenance works across Western Australia. Our projects include concrete structures, detailed earthworks and drainage.

You’ll work alongside site supervisors, engineers, subcontractors and crews to coordinate work fronts, carry out inspections, verify completed work and keep accurate site records.

What you’ll do
Interpret issued construction drawings, specifications and work instructions, and help crews apply them on site.
Support daily site operations by coordinating materials, plant, testing and inspections to keep work fronts moving.
Carry out field measurements and quantity checks, and assist with material take-offs, ordering and cost tracking.
Inspect earthworks, drainage and concrete works at key stages. Check dimensions, levels, reinforcement and other installation details against project requirements.
Coordinate field and laboratory testing for soils, compaction and concrete. Review results against acceptance criteria and escalate any issues.
Complete inspection and test records, daily site reports and photo records. Track defects and outstanding actions through to close-out.




Inspect existing civil works, identify maintenance and repair needs, coordinate the work with site crews and verify completion.
Work with supervisors and crews to resolve day-to-day site issues and support secure work practices.

What you’ll bring
A qualification in civil engineering technology, civil construction or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience on civil construction or maintenance projects, ideally involving earthworks, drainage or concrete works.
Ability to read construction drawings and specifications, take accurate field measurements and maintain explicit site records.
Familiarity with inspection and test plans, construction materials testing and quality documentation.
Explicit communication skills and confidence working with supervisors, crews and subcontractors.
A current driver’s licence and White Card.
