As we move into the next wave of cutting-edge work, we’re looking for a skilled Tradesperson (Welder) at our Queanbeyan workshop who takes pride in precision and wants to contribute to projects that truly matter.

About the role

You’ll carry out a variety of welding and fabrication tasks to a high standard of safety, accuracy, and workmanship. This role is well suited to someone who enjoys hands-on work and thrives in a collaborative team workplace.

TIG welding is essential, you must be proficient in welding stainless steel using both TIG and MIG methods.

Your work will include:
Interpret technical drawings and specifications
Apply welding processes including TIG (essential), MIG, Stick, and oxy/acetylene
Use thermal cutting methods such as plasma and oxy/acetylene
Operate and maintain welding equipment safely and effectively




Support the growth and development of apprentices

What you’ll bring
Certificate III in Engineering (Fabrication) (essential)
Demonstrated TIG and MIG welding experience, including stainless steel
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
Willingness to undergo a pre‑employment medical assessment (including drug and alcohol testing)
White Card, Silica Awareness, and Asbestos Awareness certifications (desirable)
