At MPQC, we are looking for caring, reliable and highly experienced support workers who understand children with complex behavioural needs. Someone who brings a calm, patient and reassuring approach, and takes the time to understand each child’s individual needs, would be a wonderful fit for our team. We value people who are attentive to detail, focused and helpful, who notice what needs doing and feel confident taking initiative and following tasks through without needing regular reminders.
Being open to feedback, willing to learn and supportive of each child’s growing skills, confidence and independence is also significant to us. We appreciate people who are willing to travel and adaptable about working shorter shifts when needed. We welcome initiative within the responsibilities and boundaries of the role, and encourage our support workers to seek guidance whenever something is unclear or requires additional support.
