Payroll Officer – Maternity Leave Cover Contract: October 2026 – July 2027

Salary:
$90,000
$96,000 + super We’re looking for an experienced Payroll Officer to join a business in Perth's CBD on a maternity leave contract from October 2026 through to July 2027. This is a excellent chance for someone who enjoys working as part of a team, is confident across payroll processes and has strong attention to detail. Working alongside the Senior Payroll Officers, you’ll provide support across the running of fortnightly and monthly payrolls, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time.

Key responsibilities
will include:
Processing and managing PAYG and Child Support
Managing novated leases
Assisting Senior Payroll Officers with fortnightly and monthly payrolls
Completing payroll reconciliations
Payroll checking and quality assurance




Supporting the wider payroll team with day-to-day queries and processes
Ensuring payroll data is accurate and compliant About you We’re looking for someone who is:
Experienced across end-to-end payroll processes
Highly confident with Excel
Detail-oriented with strong attention to accuracy
A genuine team player
Adaptable and comfortable working in a changing setting
Able to hit the ground running and contribute to a busy payroll function Desirable experience It would be advantageous if you have:
Mining industry experience
Experience working across multiple rosters
