We need an Electrical Fitting Teacher to train Defence personnel on a Defence site in the Western Port area. If you’re anywhere around Frankston, Hastings, Mornington, Somerville, Cranbourne or down the Peninsula, it’s a short run to work and you’re going against the city traffic.

You don’t need to have taught before. If you know the trade properly and you get a kick out of showing someone how to do it right, we’d like to talk to you. Experienced TAFE teachers are just as welcome.

What you’ll be doing
Teaching electrical fitting theory and practical to Defence learners
Planning lessons and running workshop sessions
Assessing work and keeping student records up to date
Using Moodle and other online tools (we’ll get you up to speed)
Keeping your industry knowledge current so the training stays relevant

What you’ll bring




A trade qualification as an electrician or electrical fitter, with solid hands-on experience
Cert IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122). Don’t have it yet? That's ok we can help you get it
Patience and valuable communication with learners from all backgrounds
Able to obtain a Baseline Security Clearance (this happens after an offer)
Working with Children Check, National Police Check and the right to work in Australia
